Pandemic Design

Coordinated by: Pedro Ceñal Murga

Series of four conversations that address the current situation, in which everyday practices are suddenly surrounded by objects designed in relation to bodies with a greater—and new—degree of vulnerability. Pandemic Design delves into a selection of projects that address containment measures for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that, together, have created the panorama of the health emergency that we are currently living through. These products are found on different scales and their use has an impact at the social, cultural and political levels.

This is a curatorial exercise that, through four projects, explores design-based solutions and answers in response to the current pandemic. This selection of works seeks to demonstrate the diversity of scales, formats, authors and users that are part of this new design ecosystem.
